The Mazda CX-5 has long been a leader in the crowded crossover segment, and thanks to a new redesign it’s sure to keep its crown even as other automakers continue to throw their hats in the ring.
Standard features on the base Sport trim include 17-inch alloy wheels, push-button start, LED headlights, a backup camera, and MAZDA CONNECT. Higher trim levels add features like leatherette or leather seats, a power glass moonroof, heated front seats, auto-dimming mirrors, and a power liftgate.
In all, the CX-5 offers three trim levels: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. There’s also the option of adding the Preferred Equipment Package to the Touring, which includes a BOSE 10-speaker audio and various other premium features without having to upgrade to the top-of-the-line Grand Touring model.
The new Mazda CX-5 is safer than ever, thanks to the available i-Activsense safety package. This package includes radar-based adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, Driver Attention Alert, automatic braking, lane departure warning, and active LED headlights.
The new CX-5 is powered by a SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter engine with an automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Drivers can also opt for i-ACTIV all-wheel drive on any trim level.
The new Mazda CX-5 will arrive at dealerships this month, so head over to Steet Ponte Mazda to check it out for yourself!
