Mazda to Debut Mazda KOERU Crossover at Frankfurt Motor Show

The 2015 Frankfurt International Motor Show happens in late September for 10 days from the 17th to the 27th, but Mazda has already announced its plans to debut one of its new concepts—the Mazda KOERU crossover SUV.

Mazda KOERU CrossoverThe word KOERU, which, according to the press release, translates to “exceed” or “go beyond,” is representative of Mazda’s venture into the increasingly popular market for crossovers. The KOERU is also the latest in Mazda’s series of KODO – Soul of Motion designs, which aims to pack sleek, refined cars with the power and vitality of a wild animal. The SUV will also utilize the latest SKYACTIV technologies to provide improved environmental performance, such as increased fuel efficiency, without affecting the quality of driving experience associated with the Mazda name.

The company’s full KODO – Soul of Motion line will be displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, including but certainly not limited to the Mazda KOERU. The crossover SUV will be one of 14 vehicles displayed in the lineup.

Mazda Hints at Next-Generation Subcompact Car with HAZUMI Concept

As the automaker continues to advance its model lineup, the concept car embodies the driving fundamentals that inspire Mazda’s engineering: SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY, KODO – Soul of Motion design, Mazda Proactive Safety, and the next-generation Mazda Connect technology.

The HAZUMI concept may be small in size, but it has a commanding presence that demands attention with its aggressive styling and distinguished five-point grille.

Masamichi Kogai, Mazda’s Representative Director, President and CEO, said in a press release, “Mazda HAZUMI indicates the exciting direction of Mazda’s products which, with no exception, will deliver Mazda’s unique driving pleasure. We hope that they will enrich people’s lives, and help build a strong and lasting bond between Mazda and our customers.”
